The Gulf of Poets in Liguria
Tellaro, Lerici, the Maralunga Stelline, Portovenere, Palmaria, Tino, Tinetto and the 5 Terre, awarded by UNESCO in May 1997 and also know as “Five Lands”. Vernazza, Manarola, Corniglia, Monterosso and Riomaggiore offer to their visitors picturesque old towns perched on rugged coastline dominates by the crystal and incomparable clear waters.
In these havens Shelley and Byron, spent part of their life … and, further on, Portofino. Dazzling town protected by all the seas and winds, that only few places in the world can compete with.
Their secrets, the setting faced to the Apuan Alps, and the mild microclimate keep the nature always lush, the proximity to villages rich in history and nobility of old houses like the Malaspina and the Medici.
From Bocca di Magra
Bocca di Magra is a small village located in La Spezia province (at the mouth of the eponymous river, on the border between liguria and Tuscany); which together with Fiumaretta, Montemarcello and Cafaggio villages constitute the Ameglia municipality.
Born as a fishing village, today are still in this place some important historical and artistic treasures that have made it the main feature for its inclusion in the Cultural Park of Val di Magra and Terra di Luni.
The main activities are tourism, fishing, shipbuilding and the presence of several marinas useful to pleasure boating and charter companies, which thanks to their geographical position allow to easilly reach the neighbouring towns of Lerici, Portovenere, Cinque Terre marine park, Portofino, Elba, Corsica and Sardinia.

Histories and traditions are enclosed within the historical monuments present in it. (Firmafede fortress, Santa Maria Cathedral and Sant’Andrea Church, Garibaldi square, Matteotti square and other numerous historical buildings).
With just 10 minutes-drive, you can visit the ancient Roman colony of Luni, located in the Ortonovo municipality. Divided into three villages (Luni Mare, Luni stations and Luni excavation), the latter houses the ruins of the ancient city and the “National Archaeological Museum”.

Portovenere
It’s the smallest town of the La Spezia province, located on the southern tip of Ligurian Riviera and, thanks to its territorial structure and the jagged coastline, creating the western shore of the Gulf of La Spezia (Gulf of Poets).
