The Gulf of Poets in Liguria

Tellaro, Lerici, the Maralunga Stelline, Portovenere, Palmaria, Tino, Tinetto and the 5 Terre, awarded by UNESCO in May 1997 and also know as “Five Lands”. Vernazza, Manarola, Corniglia, Monterosso and Riomaggiore offer to their visitors picturesque old towns perched on rugged coastline dominates by the crystal and incomparable clear waters.
In these havens Shelley and Byron, spent part of their life … and, further on, Portofino. Dazzling town protected by all the seas and winds, that only few places in the world can compete with.

Their secrets, the setting faced to the Apuan Alps, and the mild microclimate keep the nature always lush, the proximity to villages rich in history and nobility of old houses like the Malaspina and the Medici.

From Bocca di Magra

Bocca di Magra is a small village located in La Spezia province (at the mouth of the eponymous river, on the border between liguria and Tuscany); which together with  Fiumaretta, Montemarcello and Cafaggio villages constitute the Ameglia municipality.
Born as a fishing village, today  are still in this place some important historical and artistic treasures that have made it  the main feature for its inclusion in the Cultural Park of Val di Magra and Terra di Luni.

The main activities are tourism, fishing, shipbuilding and the presence of several marinas useful to pleasure boating and  charter companies, which thanks to their geographical position allow to easilly reach the neighbouring  towns of Lerici, Portovenere, Cinque Terre marine park, Portofino, Elba, Corsica and Sardinia.

Sarzana and the Old Luni

Located in the final part of the Magra valley, a few kilometers from the River estuary, Sarzana has become since its foundation, an important communication route between Liguria, Tuscany and Emilia Romagna.
Considered, since ancient times , an important centre for farming and trade activities, became in medieval years a well known religious and legal centre. Histories and traditions are enclosed within the historical monuments present in it. (Firmafede fortress, Santa Maria Cathedral and Sant’Andrea Church, Garibaldi square, Matteotti square and other numerous historical buildings).
With just  10 minutes-drive, you can visit the ancient Roman colony of Luni, located in the Ortonovo municipality. Divided into three villages (Luni Mare, Luni stations and Luni excavation), the latter houses the ruins of the ancient city and the “National Archaeological Museum”.

It’s the smallest town of the La Spezia province, located on the southern tip of Ligurian Riviera and, thanks to its territorial structure and the jagged coastline, creating the western shore of the Gulf of La Spezia (Gulf of Poets).
Thanks to presence of  its naturalistic and architectural heritages, since 1197 has been incluede in the UNESCO World Heritage sites list,  along with the islands of Palmaria, Tino, Tinetto and the Cinque Terre marine National Park. Since 2001, Portovenere became the headquarter of the Regional Natural Park.

Born as a fishing village, today is one of the most popular charming destination for nautical tourism , also one of the most photographed  location of the Ligurian Riviera, and, the neighboring towns of San Frutuoso, Camogli and the village of Santa Maria Ligure, also recognized for their excellent restaurants.

The Cinque Terre

An acclaimed National Park, located in a beautiful part of the eastern Ligurian coast in the province of La Spezia, has a unique and jagged territory, wich includes the historical and chatacteristic villages of Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore, all overlooking  the sea, and that, since 1997 are part of the UNESCO World Heritage site

The Archipelago of La Maddalena in Sardinia

The Archipelago of the Seven Sisters where nature is a blaze of beauty and spontaneous where emotions bloom in light poems, like the brightness of tiny lightbulbs. An enchanting sea to look at and pleasant to live.
La Maddalena, the largest island of the Archipelago, with her beautiful beaches and waters by the extraordinary colours, a 5 star paradise and, the others … Caprera, Santo Stefano, Spargi, Budelli, Razzoli and Santa Maria, are not distant from that.
A sea full of aquatic plants, a shelter place for mussels, grouper, snapper, sea horses, lobsters, barracuda and dolphin colonies. One of the most fascinating sceneries of the Mediterranean sea, where the sailing champions from all-round the world participate of Regattas but also a simply sailing explorer can still discover pristine bays.

From La Maddalena

A beautiful Island, located in the north-east of Sardinia and defined in the 19th century as “ the little Paris”, it’s part of the Archipelago National Park and, in its interior contains about 60 Islands (for a total of 180 km of coastline and about 20.000 acres of land surface); over to it, are distinguished by their size, Caprera, Santo Stefano, Spargi, Budelli, Razzoli  who, whit Santa Maria are called the “Seven Sisters”.
A popular destination for its natural beauty, particularly, for the presence of the uncontaminated emerald colour waters, benefiting tourism activities of this “Paradise Corner”. From the “Cala Gavetta” marine, a reference point for boaters, you can easily reach the nearby towns of Palau, Santa Teresa, Porto Rotondo, Porto Cervo and Corsica Island.

Located in front of  La Maddalena, the island has a coastline of about 11 km characterized by the presence of litorals with  few deep bays, a large number of white sandy coves, and emerald water.

Its interior has a thick bush that preserves a large flock of birds, some of which are considered rare and protected. In the northwest, you will discover the Cala Granu ruins, an ancient port dating back to World War II, as well as bunkers and underground walkways made from Italian army.

Located in the extreme northwest of the La Maddalena archipelago,  close to the Strait of Bonifacio, Budelli Island own a coastline of about 12.3 km and 1.6 km2 of land surface. Represented by Budello mountain, which at its highest point reaches an altitude of 88mt, this island is considered one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean Sea, and has become the symbol of the Archipelago National Park.
Known abroad thanks to the presence of her famous “Pink Beach”, and subjected  to a  strict security regime today,  is located in Cala di Roto, owes its colour to the presence of a small fragments of micro-organism  called “miniacina miniacea”.

The island, is the second one of the Archipelago in terms of dimension, has a 15.7 km2 of land surface and is connected to La Maddalena with a small  bridge.
With  a granitic nature, its  interiors are composed by woods, pine forests, the coasts are composed by sandy coves, alternated to the presence of cliffs that overlook at the sea. Known for being the final resting place of Giuseppe Garibaldi, the island is surrounded by crystal green waters created thanks to the strong current that, cleaning the sea of particles in suspension and from the seabed, that they make its  colours.
